I was cashing out this guy who had 3075 in poker chips. And after 3000 there is something called regulation 6a that we must follow. First I have to call "the pit" which is where the tables are located so they can keep track of the black chips (the hundred dollar ones) then I have to call Survellance (Oh because they weren't watching before???) and then I have to call a supervisor over to watch me dish out such a large amount. THis is not large to me. 10,000 is large to me.
Well, then we have to ask the person for ID so that we can log them on the regulation sheet. That is such a pain. Anyway, the guy was getting pissed because it was taking "too long." Um, hello. It will take awhile. I'm sure he was in a hurry to loose everything he just gained and I guarantee its less of a picnic for me to have to do this for him. After I counted it out he grunted, didn't tip me and left. Now onto the real kicker:
The next guy who came into my line had about 1000 in black chips. Big deal. He looked right at me as I had to call the pit again (anything 1000 and over in chips has to be called in for "inventory" purposes--or so i am told) and as I am on the phone I hear him ask him all rude like; "Is this going to take half an hour like the last guy?" He really wanted an answer.
I told him no. I wanted to say: "No sir, he had way more money than you did." Ass. Then he asked me if we had thousand dollar bills.
I told him no that we only have hundreds. Now, 1000 bills don't exist right??? He seemed pissed and was practically growling as I gave him his money in hundreds!
