Having been in court (on time) when someone came in late, I can tell you from (viewing) experience that that is a Really Really Bad Idea. Because whether the judge is in a good mood or a bad mood, that kind of thing happens way to often to him/her, and they can and WILL take it out on the violator every...single...time.

And of course, being The Judge, they almost never have to listen to "But the customer's always right!" Probably the only thing worse than being late to a court date and being caught by a judge is smarting off to a judge. I am a constant smartass/wiseguy/comedian [duh...see my handle/avatar], and even *I* won't do that!

Daewoo were great cars (there is no plural to them though). I think, right now with the gas like it is it still only costs me ten dollars to fill her up. I can go about 350 miles on a tank of gas. Plus, the car is just about indestructable. I've hit a deer in it, and only have a pin hole dent in the hood to show for it. That said, because the distribution in the US went belly up under GM, it's near on impossible to get parts for them. You just about have to go to a junkyard or order from korea. Real shame too. They were great cars.

      Again, Story coming.

I remember seeing one on display that just shocked me. Not only the car, but pictures of it from an accident.

This guy had bought a brand new Laganza (the larger size. Mine is a Nubira midsize) and traveled to Atlanta in it. While there, he was broadsided by a large truck. Most cars would have been totaled, and he killed. However, the Laganza only suffered major damage to it's passenger side doors, and some to it's front quarter panel. Beyond that, the thing was unscathed. The driver, suffered minor injuries. When it came to coming home, he actually drove the car back from Atlanta like that, gaining one or two stops by troopers that just couldn't belive that a car with such damage would still run. The dealership gave him a new car to replace that one, on the condition they could have the pictures and keep the car on site to show how survivable they were. It was neat for a few months (before the company went under) to see people test driving it around the lot when they asked for proof.
