There's just no other way to put this...
Group comes in with a bunch of little kids. Well one kid didn't throw the ball hard enough to make it down the lane.
So what does the kid's father do... decides to go get it back himself.
My coworker starts yelling over the PA System "Do not walk on the lanes! Our concourse guys will get it for you!. Do NOT walk on the lanes."
This guy keeps going.
Of course he slips, falls square on his ass and smacks his head on the lane. I mean, he went down HARD. He had to crawl back to his table.
We immediately started cracking up, I mean he basically asked for it... seriously, who decides to ignore about 20 posted signs, plus employees, and just walk out onto an EXTREMELY slippery surface?
Sorry, but if you bust your ass doing something that you have been specifically told NOT to do... we aren't liable. (We have a sign saying that ignoring the posted safety signs relieves us of any liability as well
)
I guess some people just have to be taught the hard way.
Oh and my manager did go over to see if he was ok (he was fine, just a nasty lump), but also told him that he can NOT do that.
