Quoth tropicsgoddess View PostFor the first story, it's wonderful to hear about the good parents and families . As for second story, those SC's give American tourists a BAD name and I apologize on behalf of the USA. The third one, well they were jackasses and I'm glad you had a good co-worker to back you up and kick them out.
I know not Americans are like thatThanks to the internet and friends I have made with tourists who came over here

Quoth Madhatter_67_85 View Post1. Glad to see some parents take responsibility. Unfortuantely that doens't happen enough.
2. GRRRR. I would love to drop those idiots in the middle of the ocean. NO even here in America no one is going to allow your 2 year old to go by herself. Period. Idiots like this really irritate me because they give all Americans a bad rep and when I travel I find that I spend half my time convincing people that not all Americans are like that. I apologize on behalf of these dumbasses. Next year when I come to Sydney I'll buy the drinks to apologize on behalf of these idiots.
3. Jeesh. I think you handled it perfectly. I personally would have announced that I would let anyone on the ride take free shots at these two guys without fear of getting kicked off the ride or out of the park.
Well funnily enough the Park was by the harbor
And we did have an SC fall inThats a story for the next thread... good grief! This is going to take forever! (Yes that's the Ferris wheel I go hit by...)
And yay for drinksLast edited by TealJellyfish; 06-23-2008, 10:43 PM.

Quoth Gravekeeper View PostSo basically what you're saying is that your job is to desperately try to stop the impending judgment of natural selection. If only for a few hours?
That two year old is doomed. ><Thankfully not anymore. It would of been SO easy to cause an "accident" that maimed an SC. The temptation was overwhelming!

Anyone want to speculate as to whether the cost of the basket came out of the kids allowance? It would seem a final deterrent to me."If you find yourself fantasizing about throwing actual users into a blender, please get help... they're heavy." - Tom Dickson

1. Good for the family in the first story! Not only did they apologize, they gave that boy a good shaming. I don't think he'll try that trick again!
2. A two-year-old going down that slide?! She'd go flying and land on her head! Those parents should've had her taken away from them if they're so careless about her safety.
3. What a couple of thoughtless, self-centered dumbasses. I bet it was great to hear the other patrons cuss them out.
That picture is gorgeous. Looks like a fun place to visit. (I got confused when you mentioned "Coney Island" too.)I don't have an attitude problem. You have a perception problem.

If it's any consolation, the assbags in your second story are probably the same way back at home in America.
People like them piss me off. They're the ones who perpetuate the stereotype of the "ugly American."Knowledge is power. Power corrupts. Study hard. Be evil.

Quoth RayvenQ View Post#2 - Sheesh, that 2 yera old wouldn't have slid down the slide, she'd have flown off as soon as she encountered the first drop"I am not able rightly to apprehend the kind of confusion of ideas that could provoke such a question."
