For those of you who have a problem with the 'gutted display case for a new game' trend, might I make a suggestion?
GameStop now allows full returns on used games, within the span of 7 days after buying the game. I think it's 7 days...
My suggestion? Buy the used game, play it a few days, if you like it, return the used copy and put the money they give you back toward a brand new copy. If it's gutted, then you know you like the game. If it turns out to be defective in some way, they'll probably replace it, and if you happened to get the floor copy, more than likely by the time you return with your defective copy, they'll have new, unopened copies in the store.
Another thing, while GameStop does allow employees to borrow games to try them out, so they'll be more knowledgeable about their product, they're really only supposed to do so with used product, nothing brand new. I'd imagine there are stores that'll ignore that rule, however...
