To be honest, I wondered about it when my friend told me nobody got her down for that long, but I figured, either A) It's true and awesome, or B) It's not, but it's great anyway. So I didn't question.
um as a former wally world victim

It is likely no one got her down.
It would have to be discussed before they did for err.. legal reason.. I mean if they got her down she might hold them responsible for what happen... so they would have to discuss it... just for safety sake...
One of my managers was very tall. I ended up placed on a high riser (8 ft up) for about 30 minutes because he hauled me up the ladder by my belt loops to make a point.

Oh em gee! I'm dying over here! That's soo freaking awesome! Nice one Pyrogoeth! I appreciate the fact that you had the guts to say "Screw this, I'm outta here", then proceed to teach the "lady" a nice little lesson when she persisted. Even if it was for only 20 minutes. Manners anyone?

Remind me not to mess with you...although I'm pretty sure you and I could go toe-to-toe in a supervised sparring match in your friend's dojo. :P

Dude, that was awesome! Good to know that violent siblings/friends do have some use, I have to say...and MAGNIFICENTLY handled! Speaking as someone who grew up wrestling with female friends and relatives I'm not quite as bound by the "don't hit girls" thing, so if she actually hit my there things would have gone downhill for her (assuming I was still capable of standing, of course).

But man, Pyro...count me in with RW as a fanboy. Words cannot express the awesome of this tale!

Off topic : Not trying to poke fun at your broken French (well, actually, yes, I find it funny, but not in a mean way), but what exactly were you trying to say with that sentence ? ^^ "Good bye, my bad cherry" ? Just curious, really.

Definitely the right thing to do. XD What I would have done, which would have been the wrong thing, would have been to smack that bitch up, yo. XD I have serious issues with both personal space and people trying to hit me and I would have socked her one. But what you did was both right and funny.

Am I the only one that thinks this a tad unbelievable? I mean, it did happen in a Walmart, but the whole sitting there for twenty minutes before anyone got her down just sounds like a punchline. Seems a little too pat to me...

Obviously, no one would wait 20 minutes for a ladder because they were on a shelf only four feet from the ground.

If a 5'6" woman swung her legs over the edge of that shelf, her toes would only be two feet from the ground. She would have just jumped off and followed the OP.

I'm more surprised that the OP managed to lift a 5'6" woman (who was presumably not making it easy for him) four feet off the ground to begin with.

If you have to ask, it's probably better posted at www.fratching.com

For the doubters.. It's the INTERNET.. Everything you see is suspect at some level. I take it as it is, a great story and a good read.

*I can think of at least one word in French I would call her, but I'm not 100% on the spelling. Starts with a p, ends in an n.
While French might be one of the trickiest languages for a foreigner to learn, it sure has quite a choice of colorful words to express your displeasure. There are a variety of words that I wouldn't know how to translate in English.

:P I know it's broken, it was an attempt to play off the "Mon cerise" you always hear in the movies, but calling her rotten/evil at the same time. I'm not so good with the french, though. It's only my /second/ national language! :P
Oh, you meant "Mon chéri / ma chérie" ?

While it seems unlikely and questionable, I've witnessed weirder things, so I'm going to believe it actually happened, but won't be adamant if anybody told me otherwise.

Oh, dear Zod. This is so wrong. It reminds me of "My tailor is rich" Does anybody have the slightest idea why one would want to know that sentence when learning English ? Do you English speakers often discuss the wealth of your clothing craftsmen ? I've yet to hear an English teacher use this sentence during a lesson, and it still is supposed to be the first sentence you learn when you learn English. Where the hell did that come from ?
