  • Just remember the following

Whenever I get a pain in the rear customer I always think of the following saying which I read once:-

    We the willing
    Are lead by the unknowning
To try and achieve the impossible
    For the ungrateful!

After 35 years in customer service I have had a few.

Some recent gems from the steam railway I work on as a volunteer.

"Do you sell cups of tea?", I replied we did, "Excellent" she replied "I will have a coffee"

Do you do your all day ticket in another colour? Red will clash with my purse when I put the ticket in it.

Why are your ice creams always so cold?

Nene Valley Railway is very cool. I remember going there to see Octopussy being filmed. I bet your volunteer job is really great, except for the SCs.

Heard a variation I thought you might like:

We, the unwilling, led by the unknowing, have been tasked to do so much with so little for so long that, by now, we are capable of doing the impossible with nothing at all!

Yes I enjoy it, I am Stationmaster at one of the stations.

During the week I work for myself and from home and 99% of my customers are outside the UK and I never meet them so getting out is enjoyable, even with the odd idiot thrown into the mix.

a amended a little on to my version

          We the unwilling,
          led by the unknowing,
have done so much with so little for so long
that we are now qualified to do ANTHING with NOTHING
In short, WE ARE GOD (or a bit more contemporary we are Harry Potter)
I'm lost without a paddle and headed up SH*T creek.
