Quoth Music Mo-Gal View PostSo what did the wake-up call (or lack thereof) have to do with the movie? SC logic is hard for me to follow.
1. Business travellor who is not supposed to put incidentals (movies, food, etc) on the compary card, but did so anyway.
2. Married guy who has a wife who checks his receipts, and he bought a porno...they are noticeable in their expense charges, though the receipt never just says "porno""That's too bad. Hospitals aren't fun to fight through."
"What IS fun to fight through?"
"Gardens. Electronics shops. Antique stores, but only if they're classy."

Quoth KhirasHY View PostI have 2 guesses:
1. Business travellor who is not supposed to put incidentals (movies, food, etc) on the compary card, but did so anyway.
2. Married guy who has a wife who checks his receipts, and he bought a porno...they are noticeable in their expense charges, though the receipt never just says "porno"
(and for the record, the receipt will only say 08(movie number) service)If you wish to find meaning, listen to the music not the song

Yeah, our system only says "Movie/Game" and then the charge. But if someone is paying $13.99 for a "Movie/Game" you can be sure they didn't rent Super Mario Brothers 3.
But most of the secret porn renters are smart enough to pay for it on a separate receipt or come up with a better scam to get out of paying for it then "I missed my wake up call that hasn't happened yet."
And if hotels are smart then the day of the wake up call is coming to a close. If you have to be up for a flight/meeting/your wedding then it should be your responsibility to wake your own ass up. In the hotel business the wake up call is a cash cow for the complaint scammer.

All my coworkers said "but we should have set it..it is our fault".
But the way I see it is, if you are an adult, get your own ass up.
If I was supposed to meet someone for an interview, important meeting, etc., and they said they overslept because the hotel never set the wake-up, well I would think that person was irresponsible...

People don't generally ask for wake up calls for giggles and kicks.
I would be extremely pissed off if the lack of a wake up call meant that I missed a flight, or a job interview, or anything.
That said, the SC in the OP...totally idiotic. If the call didn't come by say...6:10, then you might be able to get pissy, but 3 minutes after--he's just being a jackass.you are = you're. not "your".

I remember this one guest who said he didn't receive his wake up call and suggested that his room should have been free.
Well, our wake up call system records the time we set the wake up call and if the guest answered it or not.
Long story short, the wake up call was set the night before and he answered it. Our system is set up where if the guest doesn't answer their wake up call after three tries (in 3 minute intervals), the phone rings and the print out on the printer says "NOT ANSWERED". We then call the room ourselves. When they answer their wake up call, it says "ANSWERED".
Anyway, after I informed him his wake up call was indeed answered, he asked how I knew that. I told him about the print out and that we know if a wake up call was answered or not. His face turned red and the talk about a free room suddendly didn't become an issue.
