So...the employee who said NO management was available was. not. yanking. your. chain?? I work p/t in a supercenter. Sure, we are nothing like the smaller stores, but there has to be a CSM or someone else in the store. Again, I know my store is not a small one, but our front-end CSMs are also in charge of electronics should any issues arise. You were given a run-around you didn't deserve.

Contact corporate. Our store takes complaints seriously and it affects our corporate brownie points, if you will. Sounds like your store sucks in general though, so it probably won't change anything *sigh*

Still, send a calm and composed email to corporate and stress your displeasure at the shopping experience and employees' lack of professionalism. I'd be interested in knowing how (if) they respond.

Happened to me this past weekend. I am currently looking for PA speakers and went to one of the local music stores. No greeting at all, no one on the floor. I looked around and the only guy I saw was at the front counter. I think there was one other in the side room. So I looked at the speakers and waited a bit. I even walked over to the counter area. No one seemed to even acknowledge my presence so I walked on out and will make sure none of my friends make purchases from there.
I had an experience like that at Best Buy. I was shopping for a flat screen computer monitor, and there was absolutely no one working at the store.

Other customers were also wandering around in confusion, looking for someone to help them, since the monitor display setup was such that you pulled a ticket from the demonstration unit and then they'd grab you a box from the back. Even then, I'd still need someone to ring it up.

I found a monitor I really liked that was also on sale, but it took almost 30 minutes to find someone who worked at the store. I'm absolutely positive that if I wanted to, I could have just walked right out the door with all sorts of of expensive electronic merchandise.

After paying for it, they said they'd bring out the monitor box within a few minutes. I never saw that person again.

It took another 90 minutes for me to actually get the merchandise I paid for.
