I have, very occasionally, slipped into a supermarket at the last moment - and then run around like crazy to get out in a reasonable amount of time. But then, I'm an efficient supermarket shopper anyway - I go past the aisles in order, and divert into the ones that hold something I need. I suspect that many people are not that efficient.
