    I am so confused.

    This is not so sucky as it is baffeling.

    I had a guy called in this morning to find a place to stay in Myrtle Beach, NC.

    Tomorrow.

    The same place we are no longer taking reservations because of Hurricane Hanna and later on that day opened up our cancellation policy into a 'no penalty clause'.

    Seriously? WHY would you want to go in the middle of a storm?

    Junior weatherperson being forced to do storm coverage in the area because someone thinks it'll draw viewership ?

              Thrill seeker. I know several people who do that type of thing for fun. Go chase tornadoes, go to places where hurricanes are about to hit and ride it out. All in the name of fun.

                        1. That's where he was born, where his family lives, and he has to go home for
                        1a. a funeral
                        1b. a wedding
                        1c. a birthday
                        1d. a last visit to his dying grandfather/grandmother/childhood nanny/dog

                        2. He has a sucky boss who's sending him there for work and thinks that staying away because of a mere hurricane is shirking


                        Actually, those are probably not the reason, but I like games like this. Sorry.

                          Funny, this is like a flashback to me...

                          Thirteen years ago I was the caller who baffled a number of people, trying to find a hotel room in Myrtle Beach, just over two days before hurricane Jerry was expected to hit. We just wanted a place to stay waiting for the first flight out of there. And yes, we made it, the flight took off less than two hours before the airport turned into one giant puddle.
