  • Can you narrow it down for me?

So this dumb butt guy calls my hospital from out of town looking for someone. We didn't have the guy so he asked if there were other hospitals in Salt Lake and I said ya, and he said can you help me out? so...

I gave him the name and numbers of the six hospitals in the entire Salt Lake Valley. Then the dumb butt says "come on man, can't you narrow it down for me."

My response is "yeah, sure. He might be at one of the six hospitals I just gave you."

Some people... just don't think before they speak... or they just don't ever think at all.

oh you would have loved the call center I was at... at least once an hour I'd get someone "I'd like a hotel in San Diego... no preference on where" ... umm, that narrows it down to 28 properties...

Or even better, when they call the police "hey, can you check if my car's been picked up?"
      "What's the plate number?"
      "I dunno... it's a white car..."

then they want the numbers to all the other police agencies that could pick it up, but they don't want to call... they want ME to call and call them back to see if their car was picked up....

      People suck.

Fenrus, I'm so sorry you had to deal with my father's mother (seroiusly, she has before remembered that her car is the white car parked next to the red truck... yeah, it was always fun when we were visiting her and we had to try to find her car).

I have no clue about cars. One time I was looking over the university carpark with then-boyfriend, a car nut. I carpooled in with someone and he asked what kind of car it was.

          "A white one."

Seriously. I don't know. It's white. It has four doors. If I was the one signing legal papers on it every six months I might possibly know the make and model and plate number, but it's Not My Car. I don't know.
