I don't know how old you are, but about ten years ago, I finally got it in my head that life just plain isn't fair. Since then, my life has been much more free. Maybe it's called cynicism, but if you don't expect anything, then you can't be dissapointed when you don't get it. My fiancee' hasn't learned this lesson yet (works for the post office) and she is miserable a lot.

I'm 21 and I know that life will never be fair. It's just sometimes it gets to me. To me life is all about not getting your hopes up. Mine never are.
I'm okay with the fact that I will never be able to buy my own mansion or anything like that. If I ever did manage to stumble into richness, I wouldn't rub everybody's nose in it and demand special attention.
And I do understand that the rich ppl give casino's the most money and we have to treat them like kings but it just makes me mad. I don't know if that's immature but it's how I feel.
And honestly I guess I have no room to talk--maybe the guy works or had worked hard for his money. I have no idea. But no matter how much money I did have or didn't I don't believe anybody is "better" than anybody else.

They say money can't buy hapiness, all I'm asking is for the opportunity to do my own research!
      That's a good one!

If it helps, try to look at it this way. The casino is just trying to make the rich SC's money-losing experience as enjoyable as possible. I know it looks like the guy is getting special treatment, but the casino isn't looking at him as anybody special. What they see is a guy too stupid to realize that all that flattery and VIP treatment is a ruse to get him to feel important and part with as much money as possible.

So look at him as a big stupid fish too dumb to stay away from the bait the casino is hooking him with. So let him think he's a big shot and throw his money away. It couldn't happen to a nicer person, right?
The best karma is letting a jerk bash himself senseless on the wall of your polite indifference.

We get all kinds where I work (major electronics retail). Some of the wealthy types are just jerks, but I've found more jerks at the level where the customer THINKS they're extremely wealthy. The kind who, if they don't get worshipped, will declare that they spend $5,000 a year with our store and deserve better treatment. What do I care how much they spend? I don't get a cut of it. And besides, other customers (like a guy who owns a chain of bedroom furniture in the area and is almost obsessed with technology) spend over $50,000 with us, and, though they have high demands, they treat us with patience and respect.

As for me, I don't like money. That's why I don't have any.

Oh, I have to disagree here. There are plenty of people that are better, and worse, than other people.

People who treat me like a slave?
People who demand special treatment for no other reason than they feel they deserve it?
People who think that the universe starts and ends with them?
People who expect me to break the law, the rules, and my own personal ethics and principles just so that they are not in any way inconvenienced?
People who go on and on about how much money they have, then waste it on pointless status symbol crap, and who leave crappy tips?
People who can't be bothered to wait because, gods forbid, there are other people in line also waiting?
People who look down their noses at me?
People who use their religion to hypocritically criticize or judge me?

I don't think I am better than these people.
            I KNOW I am.
            These people are beneath me.

Quite honestly I wasn't referring to Hitler. I'm talking about social status. I wasn't exactly talking about the assholes of society but the aspect of them getting snooty and believing that they are better and need to be pampered every minute of the day.

                  and a small "package"
Well, at least we know why they buy Hummers and Escalades

If I had that kind of cash, I'd rather get a few restored MGs to play with...or maybe another MGB GT and an old (Series I) Land Rover, or maybe a Ferrari 330GT, or a...

I love the majority of my customers, don't get me wrong. But the people that fall into the above category are slime, they are scum, they are dirt, and they are without QUESTION beneath me!
