Ok, I understand you want your signs clean. I understand you want them clean because of the corporate visit that's happening. Yes, the entire board of directors going to your store is a big deal, I get it. And not only because you've said it 20 times, but because I have basic comprehension skills.
But it's not going to happen. See, you want your signs cleaned by Tuesday. It's Friday. That's strike one.
Strike two - your corporate visit is happening on an exceptionally busy street. One so busy that the only time you can get out there is Sunday evening, and an paid for off-duty police officer has to be on site because it's over 34'. Something that takes time to organize. Something that won't happen by this Sunday because, as previously mentioned, it's Friday.
Strike three - You get a little pissy at me because the "local" sign crew you found said they can get a cop out there before Tuesday to clean off the sign. Ok, but the sign crew we were calling, also local, says they can't. I'm gonna trust the crew I've worked with a bunch of times over yours. No offence, but that's how it works. Unless they have an in at whichever department who can forego paperwork, it isn't happening.
Strike four (why are you still batting? seriously?) - You will call me on Monday. I know this. You will call me because your reliable crew will let you down. How do I know this? Because I've done this job long enough to know exactly how this works, that's how...
Also, as an aside, I'm pretty sure boards of directors don't decide to visit stores with 4 days of notice. Just a hunch, but hey...
Strike 5 (which I forgot to add) - Right now, we're preparing for the hell we're going to be dealing with come Monday morning from the aftermath of Ike. Yes, to most ordinary people, the lives of the poor folks in Houston and surrounds that got uprooted are important, but by the gods, if your sign isn't lighting up in an evacuated area, you won't get to sell your product! So, that takes a little bit more of a precedence than a sign cleaning...
