See, I would have demanded to know who the were talking about, if not you, were I that manager. In fact, I would have been hammering them with that question as they fled back to their car.

        I'm really annoying that way.
Oh, our manager can be that way too, but she first checked to see if the worker was hurt/angered by this comment, but the cashier was cool with it, so there was no interrogation. Oh, and I should point out that the fathers said that the kid "just started school the previous week at a local middle school. " It was the end of September, and some of the workers at my WM, have kids who go to school in that district and they stated school the beginning of September. About a month, prior to the return.

They said they bought the bag in Delaware. They may have bought it there then moved....I dunno. I'm just thinking there more have been more to the story. Sorry to play devil's advocate

Well, i talked to a cashier who was also on duty and at the service desk during this incident, and she said that the mother claimed that they lived in "town where WM is located"all their lives.(while insinuating the cashier was an illegal immigrant)
So (I guess)led over to DE, (which has no sales tax) and bought the backpack, and the backpack broke. Apparantly, too according this this cashier, who has worked at WM for 8 yrs, they've pulled this stuff before. Good theory, though, but it appears these people were just jackasses.

You look more like a chainsaw keeper than a woodchipper anyways.

Yay! A chainsaw! Thanks! *takes the chainsaw humbly*
