I hate people like that >.< I know it was probably easier for you to do that and just get the lady gone, but damnit! Caving in just means they got what they want and know they can just do it again, and get what they want. And yeah, she'll use the "I've done it before!" excuse. If you can't have a sign on the machine, can you gusy maybe put one up at the customer service desk, or somewhere near the machine?

I am picturing an adult woman throwing a 2 year old temper tantrum...on the ground and kicking her legs and hitting the ground with balled up fists. It's actually kind of funny to imagine.

The woman should've just came back the next day to get her money. Too bad your manager caved in. Now the woman will probably come back again after 9pm and give the "but they did it last time" excuse.

Being the stubborn sort I am, I'd have let her rant and rave, then smile and wave goodbye as she was dragged out kicking and screaming by the police.

You and me both. The more stubborn that she got means that I get just as stubborn. It would be like two equally matched mountain goats butting heads. I would have let her rant for a little while then called the police and let them deal with her.

That is INSANE!!! I don't blame her for caving, simply because raving lunatics are sometimes armed and judging from your description- you probably would have had to call the police to make her leave.
