So for future reference, do NOT call the hotel after 10pm inquiring about an item you may or may not have left behind. Our hotel locks up lost & found items & they can only be retrieved between 7am-4pm. The most I can do at a late hour is check to see if the file sheet had your item indicated as found in your former room.
No amount of bitching & whining can change the fact that I can't physically see the stuff you left behind if I do find it on the list. It is not our fault you left your belongings. I realize that such things are yours & important to you, but once again, we didn't make you leave them. I think we are pretty generous for keeping things up to 3 months when in reality if someone left something then that really isn't the hotel's issue.
So, ladies & gentlemen, if you leave something behind at a motel or hotel please don't be inquring about it after 6pm because it doesn't make sense.
Also, you WILL be required to pay shipping of the item back to you & yes we have to have a signed request form before we can send it back to you. Anti-fraud reasons.
