Around a week and a half ago my fiance and I started playing WoW (again for her, first time for me). I've now gotten over the "must play new game every spare moment" thing so here are some stories from the last week and a half.

But...but...NORTHREND CALLS YOU!! The Wrathgate questline...
Oh and....FOR THE HORDE!

By popular request....I am now officially the Enemy of Normalcy.

World of Warcraft is like smoking...
you don't quit
you just stop playing for awhile.
Back to my job....
I got back to the rest of the internet once I hit level 18... I'm now level 25, halfway to 26. Triple XP through the refferal program helps, of course (they have a thing where you can send someone a trial key and if the account that key's used on becomes a paying account, you get an epic mount and both players get triple XP when they're in the same party)
Where I live, Regular gas is hovering at 70 Cents a litre, while Diesel is close to 1.00$ a litre.
Long version short, Diesel's refined from Furnace oils, which are in high demand in the colder nations, so there's the 25+ Cent difference per litre all winter.
That may be, but Diesel's about 30-40 cents more expensive a litre in Aus, it's summer here, no one needs heating oil. I am still wondering why it's more expensive.
As for WOW, better than Evercrack I suppose, but not by much.
If I dropped everybody who occasionally said something stupid from my list of potential partners, I wouldn’t even be able to masturbate

I kind of knew that *puts on blue robe and turns invisible again*

.
actually, if you think about it, a place that uses a lot of heating oil would have cheaper diesel... if diesel is a byproduct of heating oil and a region uses a lot of heating oil there will be a high supply of diesel and therefore would be cheaper, likewise a place that doesn't use much heating oil won't produce much diesel as a byproduct therefore lower supply, higher price.
I could be wrong though.
If you wish to find meaning, listen to the music not the song
Another thing to consider is that Finland is right next to Russia, a major energy (including oil) exporter. Australia isn't, Britain isn't, and America imports more than it's fair share from a long way off too.
(Ironically, the Soviets apparently used to import a small amount of petrol from Finland. It was high-quality petrol for the elite class's luxury cars. The basic Ladas and so on would run fine on just about anything.)
But when you look at Britain, a very large proportion of the price of fuel is taxes. Road-vehicle fuel is extremely heavily taxed in Britain as a "vice tax", the proceeds of which were supposedly (ha ha) to be earmarked for transportation infrastructure in general. If the government wanted to make diesel fuel cheaper, they could very easily, by reducing the tax on it.
Even in Finland, the taxes are less extreme but they are still there.
SC entered the code for the auto car wash, then drove around to the other side and went in through the exit. And knocked the brush mechanism off its rail. And demanded a refund (but ran away after my boss swore at him in Arabic and Italian).
We REALLY need a one-way sign
The day after the auto car wash was fixed, somebody else entered the code, drove around to the exit, backed in and bent one of the rods the brushes are attached to. Then drove off, but we got her number plate off the CCTV.
WHY!?
If your car wash is like every other automatic car wash I've ever seen, you drive up to the car wash, where there is the terminal to enter your code. The entrance to the car wash is normally right in front of you.
What kind of twisted, deranged logic leads someone to believe that, once you've entered the code, that the opening directly in front of you CAN'T be the correct one, and you need to drive around to the other side and attempt to force your car in?!
NO.
I'm sorry, I can't just let this go. These people need to be rounded up, have their reproductive organs removed, and sent where they can do a minimum of harm.
In Canada, we have a facility for such people. We call it Nunavit.

The wholesale price is also 30-40 cents per liter more. And the CSRs have no control over the prices, so don't blame us.
