Well, it was bound to happen. A member of the Dips family finally managed to ruin someone's Christmas.
A man called the coin shop today, Christmas Eve. Mr. Dips answered the phone.
The caller started asking about prices on various coins in their catalog. Mr. Dips became puzzled because the prices the guy was giving him didn't match what he had.
Finally he asked the guy when he received the catalog that he kept referring to.
It turns out it was 1999.
Mr. Dips explained that was a very old catalog and the prices have gone up since 1999. Then he told the man the current prices.
The man became angry and told Mr. Dips, "I guess I can't afford to buy presents for my kids! Thanks a lot!" <click>
OK. He didn't specifically use the words "you ruined Christmas." So does it still count?
