Second, the wimp manager needed to be fired. Times are get tough all around for both customers and sellers. What the wimp wanted to do would had been a TOTAL loss to the company.
How many sucky people need to ask for full refunds on meals and DRINKs does it take to turn a profitable business into a money sink?
The company I used to work for has been in business for more than 30 years while their local competition have all gone out of business. How? They never sell at a loss. The competition low-balled themselves out of business.
