Heck, it didn't get much above mid-60's this summer here. It's been around -30 for the last few weeks now, those temps would be like summer to me...lol

My brother went to L. A. (I think) a few weeks ago. He couldn't help laughing at the woman at the car rental desk who said her fingers were numb from the cold (50 F). We live in the Berkshires of Western MA, and I had just sent him pics of the latest snowstorm.
My mother: "Send your brother a pic of the mountain covered in snow."
Me: "What mountain?"
Mom: "Out the window."
Me: "I repeat, what mountain?"Any day you're looking down at the dirt instead of up at the dirt is a good day.

Quoth DoneWithPeople View PostI work at a Waterpark in Northern California. It is cold this time of year (relative to California) in the winter.
It gets cold here, just not "Holy fuck!! I could die of being locked outside cold".Proud to be a Walmart virgin.

I'm not sure which is dumber.
a) She couldn't comprehend a simple automated phone message
b) She wanted to take her little precious to the waterslides in 40 degree weather
or
c) She apparently expected you to go ahead and open the water park especially for her and her grandaughter, Clark Griswold style, in 40 degree weather, because she couldn't comprehend a simple automated phone message.

Quoth spookysonata View PostHow did she arrive at that conclusion? THROUGH September, yes...but it's JANUARY, lady.
God, people are idiots sometimes.
Well technically, if you don't specify that you open in May and are open through September, then yes January would be in the 'through September' excluding onlyl october, november and december. Is it possible this person isn't from that area and doesn't realize how cold it actually is during the winter months? I mean, TV shows Cali as Sun and Surf all the time right?Tamezin
