I am really fed up at the moment anyway but another bitch of a passenger has made me want to slap her.
As per usual I got lumbered with bloody 'duty free' on my flight today and the stupid machine was broken so I had to do it manually.
One woman wanted to buy some bath oils (£20) and pay in Norweigan Kroner. I politely explained that as our machine was non-op I could only take Sterling or Credit Card. She was really pissed off and despite having a purse of £20 notes demanded to pay in Kroner. I explained that I had no exchange rate available and no calculator to work out the correct amount of change I would have to give her. Then no doubt I would be wrong and get a hissy letter from my line manager demanding to know why my duty free monies that I bank were lower than what they should be.
She said "well you are being most unhelpful, I will be writing into your airline to complain that you wouldn't let me spend my money"
I said, "I have explained to you the reasons why I can't accept your Kroner, offered you alternative methods of payment...please do write into the airline, they are the ones who have failed to give me a working machine, I have done nothing wrong."
She shoved a £20 note at me in the end still threatening to 'write in.' Oooo I'm so scared lady.
All that over nothing when she had pound Sterling anyway.
I hate my job and passengers, I really have had enough.
THis flight was full of moaners and rude people.
