yup the big sand filled cans are ashtrays/ash cans. But around here we've also got these skinier pole type ones with a hole in the pole and you just toss your dying smoke in the hole and it goes out some how (I think it uses harry potter style magic). Well I guess we can say that we got poles with butt holes out here.
