I almost want to say I hope you don't have a job so you don't have to deal with spineless management/SCs anymore... but it is nice to be able to pay bills.

I hope whatever happens works out the best for you.

I may or may not have a job because of C2.
That's BS. You didn't do anything wrong.

Also, can't you refuse service to customers like the ones in your first stories? You shouldn't be forced to take abuse from anyone.

This is SM's fault, not yours. He/She was the one who told you to refund the money. Unfortunately for you, it's probably a he-said-she-said kind of thing now since from your post it looks like you can change prices without a manager's override code. I really hope SM's screw-up doesn't cost you your job, but then again, maybe it would let you get a better job.
I agree - I fail to see how this is your fault in any way. C2 should have caught the "mistake" at the register prior to paying. This was a total scam and your SM fell for it. If anyone should lose their job it should be your SM. Next time refuse to do any refund that you think is hinky - make your SM do it. In my opinion, the one who approves it should be the one to put their name on it.

I still have a job, but next week's hours were cut down to half what I normally do.

Okay, I just want to say that I'm really sorry to hear that you work in what would appear to be the most horrible store ever. But this, this right here

Weird Lady- she never talks, she hisses like a cat, spits on stuff, urinates behind the building, reeks of BO and urine
This is the weirdest thing I've ever heard. Take solace in the fact that you have a half-human half-cat to spit and urinate on the jerk-box you work in. Maybe she's a former employee, though.

A friend of mine was once written up for refusing to serve a verbally abusive customer. She refused and a manager had to come and do the transaction.

The next day she got the write up. Apparently the manager felt she had "just given up on the customer" and that "dealing with difficult customers is simply part of the job"

She quit about a week later, due to that incident and several other stupid things management did to her.

We've got some kind of scam going on at my store, others in the chain, and at other local retailers.

It's a group of 4 people (that we know of) who are doing one or more of the following:
                • Stealing gift cards and selling them on the street to unsuspecting people (those cards have no value until they're paid for and scanned through at the register.
                • Returning items under $20 without a receipt (apparently we'll still give gift cards on no-receipt returns if the value is under $20, so I guess the company doesn't mind being nickel-and-dimed to death, but will pay for it with our personal time ), getting a gift card, spending it down to $0 or close, and reselling the gift card to an unsuspecting person.
                • Picking receipts off the ground or out of the garbage, finding items listed and taking them off the shelves, returning them for gift cards, spending the gift cards down to $0 or close, and reselling the gift cards to unsuspecting people.

Whatever the case is, it's apparently resulting in people walking around with bogus gift cards they don't know are bogus, and LP wants to catch these people bad. So bad, the last two team huddles have been centered around these people and their pictures have been distributed to all who attended the huddles.

One of the guys is really easy to spot. He's got a shaved head, a strong Texas acccent, and a pot plant (as in marijuana) tattooed on his neck.

Well, if a slut will sleep with anyone, and a bitch will sleep with anyone but you, in SC-Land, a bitch must be any employee who doesn't read minds and part the heavens to give them exactly what they want.

Consider it a badge of honor. I do.

You gotta love SM/TL's at times.

Part of the reason I left my previous job was because there was one TL (not myne, myne was brilliant) who had had 4 harrassment complaints lodged against him in 12 months (I lodged the fourth complaint) yet he was not being punished for his misconduct. I secretly gave him the nickname 'The Freak' (after Joan 'The Freak Ferguson - corrupt prison officer in Australian TV series Prisoner) because of his ability to get away with his misconduct.

yeah, I can already guess what you are going to do with a box of condoms, lotion,
My mind went straight to: "He's preparing to be a drug mule?"
