As far as I have heard, you can actually "purchase" select PSX games from the online playstation store, download them onto a Sony Memory Stick and play them on your PSP, however the range available is VERY limited at the current point in time, due to hardware limitations (I still want them to remake Final Fantasy 7 for the PSP though...)

yeah you can, I was just unhappy 'cause this guy flat out told me you could use any PS1 games you own on it.

I'd like to note that modding a system to play imports and modding it to play unlicensed discs are potentially separate things, and even in the US, I don't believe the first is illegal. That being said, I don't believe for a millisecond that anyone asking at CC's store is wanting to play imports, making them all wanna-be thieves.

Actually, I asked in a game shop about modding an old PS1, specifically because I wanted to play an import. Anyone heard of "Guitar Freaks"? You got a guitar controller, three buttons (red, green, blue), and a lever that you strummed like a real guitar. Basically it was Guitar Hero, before GH.

I always wondered about this as well. I feel the same about it being a rip-off, but I keep it to myself and just go on and buy the new copy.

Yeah, I wonder about that too. I once saw a very old used Starfox game for Nintendo 64 for $25! I thought that was a rip off. But, I only THOUGHT about that...I didn't complain about it to the employees!
