An experience which can only be described as bizarre

Something happened at work yesterday that I will probably always remember simply for it's weirdness. There was a woman going through the SCO buying several cases of beer, and she looked and acted like she was intoxicated. Well, we're not allowed to sell to people who are drunk, so the SCO operator called the floor supervisor over to assess the situation, and she also called me over to the SCO and told me to get a bag of ice for the woman who had apparently asked for one. Our cooler up front broke, so we have to go to the freezer in the back to get it.

I came back up front and put the bag of ice in her buggy, noticing that the floor supervisor was gone, presumably to get a manager. As I turned and walked away, towards the SCO operator to ask what was going on with all this, the woman turned to the SCO operator and yelled at like the top of her lungs "He looks like a heterosexual!!!!!!"

Me and the SCO operator both kind of froze by sheer shock of the incredible randomness of that statement and exchanged looks. As the woman left a few minutes later, she yelled something akin to "What, is it gay night here at Kroger or something?!?!" We never could stop her from leaving since the manager didn't get there in time.

It was so weird. The woman had to be either drunk, high, really strange, or all of the above. I really hope she didn't have any kids or anything, cuz even if she may not be violent, she will embarrass them by shouting what sexual preference they look like to an entire store for no reason at all
