he took a look through our Woven shirt section we usually had shirts with the same size measurements as our packaged ones.
I wish it wasn't true... I got in the habit of buying jeans without trying them on because I simply grabbed the exact same brand and size and color I normally wore... Then one day I ended up with a pair that was made small.
Swim bottoms:
This one too I'm like "eh"? Granted I understand health code laws... When I was growing up, we usually tried them on over our underwear so it wouldn't violate health code.
But I also understand no means no.
And if there's special circumstances, there's better ways to handle it like asking very nicely, listing the circumstances first...
Like with the man for the funeral... after being told "no"... maybe if he'd acted differently ... like... "I understand the policy, however I'm on my way to a funeral and I'm very worried that the woven shirt's fit might not match the dress shirt. The funeral is for <whomever> and the event is very important to me. Is there anyone I can talk to?"
If he'd said that perhaps instead of <ANGER YELL ETC>... there's no guarantee he'd have gotten a different answer... but it's more likely.
