SC: And that's DIET coke right?
Me: Well...no, you never asked for diet.
SC: Oh! I can't drink this! I'm diabetic you know! I need diet!
I made a new drink because I couldn't be bothered with an argument. But apparently I was supposed to be abe to tell he was diabetic just by looking at him.
Do you pour out the coke and vodka? I'm surprised the guy didn't say, "don't pour it out! don't waste it, give it to me!"
Time! Time! Time is what turns kittens into cats.
Don't teach me a lesson; all I learn is that you are an asshole.
I thought tonic water was water, carbonation, and quinine?
New! Diet Tonic Water! Made with STEAM DISTILLED WATER, and.... now with 50% less carbonation! It's NEW Diet Tonic Water! From Canada Dry!
(Distilled water is considered to be the most "pure" water available - some of the kids I worked with used it in their breathing machines - it's also used in chemistry, and in filling wet cell batteries. It's water without all the minerals, etc that get into "drinking" water)
Yeah, I'm a geek!

Medicinal tonic water originally contained only carbonated water and a large amount of quinine. However, most tonic water today contains a medically insignificant amount of quinine, and is thus used for its flavour only. It is consequently less bitter, and is also usually sweetened. Sweet tonic water may contain corn syrup or sugar, making it less bitter. Some manufacturers also produce diet tonic water which may contain artificial sweeteners.

So tonic water has become a chick drink?? My father is saving up to roll in his grave. So is my mother.
Alcohol lowers blood sugar, but messes with medications - your call
(yes, I am diabetic, but I'm not giving up my alcohol )
I'm diabetic too, but I'm not giving up alcohol either. Hard liquors aren't really a 'sugar' probelm. (Much less than beer.) I generally just drink wine or Scotch and water. You get used to how it the alcohol affects you.
