Aaand the plot thickens...
The day after we sold out all our $3 Barbies, some lady came in wanting to buy ten of them.
Of course, we were long sold out of them by then. This prompted a screaming tirade from the woman to the store manager, in which she threatened to lawyer up and sue for...something.
Here's the problem for us though: Due to a pretty serious FUBAR by marketing, the visual design people, or the printers, that particular ad flyer advertised a two-day sale on Friday and Saturday, while the middle two pages advertised a three-day sale on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Or maybe it was the other way around. Either way, the front and back pages of the ad had a completely different starting date than the middle two pages did. Unfortunately, we seem to have quite a few misprints in our ads.
Store manager eventually agreed to take this lady's name and phone number and let her know if any more of the dolls came in. Two of them were returned and he's holding them for the lady--but he says he's going to make her wait on those until November or so before he contacts her.
Meanwhile, another case of them came in, were stocked, and have since sold. Store manager didn't let the bitchy lady know about those.
