That's so maddening. The other stores are probably already watching her and building a case against her. A lot of stores wait until someone has stolen a certain amount so they can charge grand larceny instead of petit larceny! She will get caught eventually, and if a friend is with her (even if she isn't aware of her theft) she can get charged too.

And, YES it bothers me when someone overuses my name. I think most of the time when they call it it just more catches me off guard, but when they keep saying it...it's annoying/creepy.

At Random Craft Store we aren't even allowed to do anything to thieves, call the police on them even if we SEE them steal stuff and we'd probably be fired for doing so. In fact given the opportunity I'm sure that Boss Man would probably be holding the bag open for them and then allow them to return the stuff for store credit. o.O

Are you kidding me?! I don't think I could go back to a customer service job where I have to let SC's walk all over me. You can't get incredibly important information that could save an officer's life from a belligerant caller, nor can you help the caller if they're not listening to you. So if necessary, we can put people in their place.

(You can't scream, shutup you stupid farking cow!! But you could say very firmly, SIR! I need you to stop <doing assinine BS> and answer my questions so that I can help you <with whatever problem they're having> . We don't put up with BS because it causes way too many problems. You'd be surprised how many people call and demand, "send an officer here right now!" and then you ask for the address and they say stuff like, "you don't need it, just get em here!" yeah, work out the logic there.)

.....As a final thought.... does anyone else find it creepy when customers call you by name? I mean I know I have a name tag and stuff.... but it's still really creepy to me when they walk up and are all "Hi Red!" >< Just me...

I hate that too. I always feel like, "The proper way to address me is SIR, just as I have been addressing you."
