It's Granny from Looney Tunes! *smish*
"Who even says 'Heavens to betsy' any longer?"
"The old lady from Looney Tunes?"
      "Yeah, that's what I'm saying..."

Someone, please place that quote for me, I can't remember where I heard it.
      "I call murder on that!"

The old lady should have made a complaint to the staff and management about the profanity. What she did was unacceptable! You just can't go around hitting people no matter how deserved it is.
        And yet, evidently you can.

The SC was probably too surprised to do/say anything in return. That sounds like something I could see my mom doing one day.

That's along the lines of "It takes a village..."

Does anyone else find it both sad and amusing that the kid in the story completely missed why she whacked him and dropped an F-bomb right after she walked away?

                Er...
Am I the only one who, upon being whacked by a stranger with anything, would turn around and make them eat it? Old lady or no, and regardless of the language used, hitting someone is classless and just plain stupid, imo.
I would like to expand upon my post some since in retrospect it could be taken the wrong way.

When I wrote that I would make her eat the offending object I was figuratively referring to what would have been a reflex violent response. Striking out at someone vindictively after the fact is not something I meant to condone in even a roundabout way.
The intention of the comment was meant to highlight just how stupid and dangerous it is to use any type of perceived violence on a stranger.

Some people for whatever reason have violent reactions to even harmless actions; severely violent reactions at that. Other people could be unintentionally hurt by such a careless act. One of the first things that went through my head at reading this was to think of the brain shunt that sticks out of my head far enough to be vulnerable but not easy enough to spot unless you know it's there (and if you think "grannies" are harmless you've never done a stint in a nursing home where an 80lbs 90 year old can and will knock large grown men off their feet).

If you're slower than me, stupider than me, and you taste good...you're dinner - Anthony Bourdain

I can understand that, years of martial arts have kinda set my responses to percieved attacks on me, they tend to be short and violent.
If I dropped everybody who occasionally said something stupid from my list of potential partners, I wouldn’t even be able to masturbate

I could have sworn that you saw my grandma, but she doesn't drink tea. My grandma hates the F word with a passion. She hates swearing, but that word especially.

I don't allow anyone to swear in front of her. One time, a friend of my friends came to my grandparents' house and started swearing. I yelled at him and told him to show some respect for my grandma.

My grandpa on the other hand...f this and f that...He's just an overgrown teenager.
"Kill the fat guy first?! That's racist!" - my friend Ironside at a Belegarth practice after being "killed" first.
