Remembered from the Movie Theater

The <cinema> doesn't make popcorn fresh. It comes ready-made in large bags that we dispense into warmers. Excess is taken out overnight and rebagged and reused. There is no butter either.

Gosh, it's bad enough you don't make your own popcorn but to not have butter too? That's terrible!! I've never heard of a movie theater that had pre-bagged popcorn and no butter. Wow.

We like our butter flavoring "split" with the container half filled with popcorn then butter, then finish filling it up with popcorn and more butter on top. And more salt too. Our local theater gives free refills on all sizes of popcorn and soda and we usually get one refill. I've always wanted to get a refill just before the movie ends, so I could take it home, but I've never had the guts to do it. We don't feel guilty eating all that buttered popcorn though, because we only see a movie at the theater once or twice a year anymore.

...Technically, you have to refund the guy. If a guy comes in to your theatre and talks the entire time and management throws him out, at least in Texas, you're bound to refund him his ticket as he's not sitting through the movie and you're forcing him out. Not doing so is technically theft. We ran into this more than once at my theatre back in the day....

That's a bit extreme. Obviously he wouldn't be refunded in that instance.

Except that your statement reads that if he paid to see the movie and was forced out that not refunding him is theft.

I out grew my love of movie theater popcorn ages ago, mostly because after every bucket of popcorn my lips feel dry and split open. For the record it makes me sympathize with slugs and leeches a whole lot more.

On the subject of concessions, I always make my order sweet and simple. Snowcaps and a medium Mountain Dew.
