And IIRC, Neurotin (which is an anti-seizure drug) is over $300.00 a month now.
Neurotin has a generic that costs a heck of a lot less [thankfully] and it is not just an anti-seizure drug, it is used to treat neuropathy and migraines as well.

One of the few, the proud, the patient....and we love those of you that do that!

My pharmacy lets me place reorder requests online ... so I like to do it every saturday for monday pickup. I love being able to go online and check my prescriptions!

The generic name is Gabapentin. Much, much cheaper than brand name Neurontin! Thank goodness, as I've been through about 4500mg today already.

I used to call in my refill on the phone. I could also do it online if I wanted. The only time I ever asked in person for a refill is if I happened to be in the store anyway. I'd just show them the bottle and they'd enter the info in the computer. Usually they'd say 20 minutes and I'd go do my shopping.

Now that I'm off the meds, the $25 a month I used to pay is going into my new iPod fund (now that I've bought my computer). The one I think I want is $200, so maybe by Christmas.

I am a horrible person and never call in my Rx, mostly because it's a monthly thing, I get it though the school and I never know when I'll have time to go get it. Because I am well aware of the fact that I am a horrible person, I do not complain at the wait times. Ever. In fact, I try to be as helpful and polite as I can because Lord knows enough college students are on Daddy's $.10 and cannot see past their noses, at best.

...I'm convinced that because they don't see a line at drop-off or pick-up that they think we're doing nothing but waiting for them with baited breath.

I wish I only paid $15 for my monthly meds (BC pills)! For those, on one kind, I paid $50 a month. With the kind I'm currently on, I am paying $35 a month. $15 would definitely be a nice reprieve.
Mine's $50/month, after my discount. Otherwise it'd be around $56. But, seeing as I haven't had a migraine since I've been on it (over a year now), it's well worth the money.

Oh, they can do that where I work, too. Only thing is, even though they're the ones that pick out when to have it ready, they still come in well before that time (or day) and get pissed because it's not ready.
