  • we dont want to wait in line

Guest: Yea Dave, I just arrived here and it looks like it is very busy in your lobby. I really dont want to wait in line. Can you meet me out here at my car and check me in?

    Me: No ma'am

Guest: Dave, we have been driving all night, we are tired and we dont want to wait in line. Why cant you cooperate with us?

Me: because everyone has to wait in line to check in

Guest: well can we at least go to the head of the line since we are tired and we have been driving all night and I have a screaming baby

    Me: no ma'am

    Guest: WHY?

Me: because everyone waits in line

Guest: It is going to take us an hour to get through that line. You are not treating us fairly

Me: how arent we treating you fairly?

Guest: because we have spent a lot of money on this trip and drove 12 hours and now we have to wait god knows how long to check in. This is a nightmare. Our vacation is already ruined.

They come in to check in and I hear her at the desk

Guest: I want the number to your general manager because Dave was very unkind to me. I have rented with you all for 11 years and have never been treated so horribly. I demand that something be done about this. I want a call from your general manager assuring me that Dave has been appropriately disciplined so I can have closure on this. To make me wait all that time to check in given the money I have spent here over the years is a slap in the face.

I hear this woman bawling at the front, what a biatch

Man. Every story I read of yours just has me boggled. Why are you still working there? Is the job market that bad in your area? Noone should have to put up with the level of abuse you do.

People at Kinko's used to think that they were entitled to have their work done first because "they were in a hurry."

Hilarious. There isn't a living soul under a Kinko's roof anywhere that isn't in a hurry. The customers are in a hurry. The employees are in a hurry. The damn cockroaches in the stockroom are in a hurry.

I used to just tell them that I'd let them go to the top of the que if they went around and asked everyone who's job was ahead of them if it was okay if they line jumped.

Amazingly, no one ever took me up on it.

I really gotta wonder just how many people truly are in a hurry, considering in most stories, the SC in a "hurry" usually has just shopped for 2 hours in the store, or ends up just going next door anyway.

How much do you want to bet as soon as that bitch got checked in, they went and played golf or went to the casino?

D'you ever notice how, with a lot of people, being 'treated fairly' seems to translate directly into being given special treatment far and away beyond what is appropriate, affordable, ethical, moral, logical and sensible?

Having just recently had my gallbladder removed (well...in January) I am all too familar. There are sooooooo many foods I can't eat anymore. Not that I really needed to eat those foods in the first place.
