Guest: Dave, I want something oceanfront to compensate me for you all misrepresenting the property
Me: well you can go to oceanfront but you pay the rate difference
Guest: I have been inconvenienced here....you said this was 4 star but it has very old fashioned decor, the appliances are old, its just not as nice as what I am used to...I deserve oceanfront for the same rate for this inconvenience. I cant stay here, my mother is coming over and she has a heart condition and I am afraid she will have a heart attack if she sees the horrors of this place
Me: ok you can move but if you go oceanfront, you pay the difference
Guest: no I will not
Me: ok well you cant have the oceanfront house
Guest: who are you to tell me what I can and cant have?
Me: I am telling you that you cant be oceanfront at this rate
Guest: youre very unkind, Dave...you have really offended me and I will be complaining about you to a manager

As it turns out, said guest for the last two years would book a non oceanfront home, complain about it and get upgraded to oceanfront for the same price. What she didnt realize was that we keep records of this stuff and the house she complained about was the same one she had two years ago and got moved from so the question my manager asked her was if you were so unhappy with this house, why did you rebook it? She said she is forming a boycott of our company and is going to picket outside of the office. We warned her if she does, the police will be called. I will let you know if anything comes of this.
