Sorry to hear about your saving throw. I've got a ogre-slaying knife you can borrow. It has +9 against ogres. This ogre will likely be back.

I find it odd that you had never laid eyes on this guy before, yet he has suddenly seemed to develop a craving for fast food, since you have now seen him 3 times in 9 days at 2 different places where you work.
Rather odd coincidence, really.
I find it strange that this guy is obviously some type of businessman with lots of cash and a family, yet you seem to have caused him such upset over a minor annoyance, that he has made it his goal to get you fired, and has even talked to his wife about "the guy from Subway" and has devoted all this time to complaining to managers.
Makes me wonder why you and this particular incident have gotten under his skin so badly.Too tired of living and too tired to end it. What a conundrum.

i would recommend telling the boss that the guy is now threatening you... basically he's telling you to give him half off or he'll complain about you again.
boss sounds cool so perhaps boss will ban him. especially after he hears that the guy claimed he had a permanent half-off price
and after re-reading your comment about telling him when you came back... it does sound like he went back on purpose to stomp his ego on you and bully you into submission.
i think he needs to be banned. that'll get his ego going... especially if you end up having to call the cops on him

My view on it is that some people have nothing better to do with their time than pursue vengance on those they think has wronged them. I swear, I've never seen this much recuring drama at ANY job I've ever worked, and hope to never encounter it again.
Yeah, I went ahead and called the owner, told him how it went down. He confirmed that no such promise had been made. He also said that he had not heard from the guy again, so I suppose he was just blowing smoke. The owner tells me that I can now feel free to tell this man to step off if he ever does come back again, since he insists on causing scenes.
So, all in all, an interesting episode, though I'm eager to move past it. My coworkers and I have had our laughs and our gripes about him, and as far as we're concerned, the huricane is come and gone, with Minimal Damage. There's no need for a paper trail, really, because we have Video/Audio Surveilance at the registers, so exactly what has happened is recorded for posterity. I am confident I will not hear from this man again, but if I do, I have the "Get OUT and don't come Back" weapon on my side now.
I have enjoyed reading all of your reactions to this episode, and am grateful for your sympathies and criticisims alike. I do like seeing sugguestions on how to be a better employee... taking pride in doing GOOD work no matter how much I hate my Job.
And hey, after this guy, the everyday nitpicking of your average PitAs doesn't seem so bad.
Oddest thing is, I haven't seen Milford since I got back to the store... I hope he's alright. Maybe he got picked up and taken somewhere to get his help.

Quoth Nijiero View PostI am now allowed to feed up to 3 Homeless people, yes, THREE, per day, as long as they do not disturb the bussiness when they enter. There is hope for Humanity Yet, I think. We feed Police Officers and the Homeless for free, and offer a discout to active-duty military. It's nice to give a little back, I think.

You have all the evidence you need to ban him from the premises. Talk with your boss and see if you can do that. Timmy Tinydick is obviously trying to bait you into yelling at him so he can get you fired.Last edited by Ree; 05-24-2009, 09:27 AM.The New Orleans Saints are your 2009 NFL champions.
