You know, it would be helpful to actually say they are tax exempt BEFORE the transaction

You want to know what makes the whole tax thing even worse? When your software is screwed up and the tax showing on orders is double the actual tax rate.

Our software provider recently changed how the system handles tax, and they pretty much broth a half dozen different parts of it with the new (completely retarded, I might add) system. Luckily, the Invoices tally correctly, but you can actually change the tax rate on posted invoices.
