Actually, in warmer areas (such as I imagine the VRS properties are, I don't recall a specific location), outdoor washer/dryer are not unusual at all.
That's interesting and it makes sense in certain climates. No ventwork, fast access to clothelines, etc.

Dave, maybe you could confirm tell us more about what's normal for the part of the country you're in?

You don't have to say what state or anything but are you in the Southeast US? Northeast US? Pacific Coast?

Al fresco laundry facilities would be unusual to me. Of course I'm not the type to call the agency and scream about it. I'm more of the type who'd take pictures to show my friends at home (so they'd believe me ) then shrug it off, grab a beer and do my laundry outside.

You'd think so, but all it does is destroy the w/d with rust (darn humidity), so any savings are destroyed by replacement costs. Which is why my parents put it indoors. But somehow the majority of houses still keep them outdoors...

We have things like that where I live too.

For instance, in most New England homes, the wall lightswitches for the bathrooms are near the door, but outside of the bathroom.

It's only bathrooms, though. Any other room the switch is on the wall near the door but inside the room.

I'm sure there's a valid reason for this dating back to the origins of inside plumbing and electric lighting.

There is a trend away from that on newer construction but they still build houses with the bathroom switches outside of the bathroom.

I got a strong feeling that Dave's in FloriDUH and most of the fucktards he has to deal with are over-entitled idiots from Nooo Yawk and Baaawwwston. An online buddy of mine lives in Delray Beach and he talks about how "fun" it is to live down there with those kind of dickholes.
Oh God...don't remind me....I live in South Florida so entitlement minded asshats from Nooo Yawk and Baaahston are copious, especially in the winter.

            Everyplace has assholes.

And sometimes they migrate and inflict themselves on others. VRS's EW customers could come from anybody's state.

But let's lay off the generalizations and making fun of people's accents, please. We have members from all over the world.

              Customers without real money

I wonder if a lot of Dave's suck comes from customers who are not that well off, but like to pretend that they are.

I have looked into rent a $15,000 a week villa in the Caribbean myself, and I make only $10 a hour on my regular work. The $50 a hour for computer work is very irregular.

But the villa I was looking at came with 5 bedrooms, pool, sauna, twice-weekly maid service, etc.

That is room for 5 couples or 10 people, now you are only looking at $1,500 per person. High, but do-able. My cruises already run in that price range.

But suddenly, poor Dave has a house full of non-rich people, all acting like they personally paid the $15,000 by themselves and making fools of themselves thinking they are act like rich people do (most rich people are not that bad).

Poor Dave, I would have snapped withing the first three days doing his job.
