I think I had that bus driver this week - we got cut off just before the bus stop and the driver flew out of the bus, yanked open the passenger side door and started screaming at the driver. In this instance, it was actually a company van...with their logo and phone number proudly displayed in bold colours on the side. I think they got a few phone calls that morning...

Not that this was the case, but service dogs for the hearing impaired are generally smaller-breeds; mostly terriers, but pugs & others as well.

A friend of mine is a trainer. It's pretty interesting: The dogs are trained first and foremost to alert thier master in the event of a fire alarm, but also knocks at the door, police/fire/ambulance sirens, if someone calls thier name, when the oven/microwave beeps, etc.

Also, to the girl in front of me in line at <grocery store>. I just have 3 quick points I would like to review with you:

1) I didn’t know they made jeans in lemon yellow. Where in the world did you find your banana pantaloons? ( Banataloons? )

2) I’m pretty sure they don’t train pugs as certified service dogs. So your cover story for why its in the store is suspect. Leave the beast outside while you’re in a store full of food.

3) Turn around, your four legged shovelmouth is eating a box of Juicyfruit.

If this happened in downtown VQ and the girl was Japanese I might just know this shameful person.... was she also wearing a Motley Crue t-shirt with those banataloons?

At least the clerk could start a collection. It seem to me that this is the perfect time for the "two shots of espresso and a pennywhistle" cure (yes, I know that it should be a puppy, but that would be cruel to animals).

My mom drives public transit in Mississauga (near Toronto) and the shitty truth is: the city holds ALL accidents against the driver. They have this crazy belief that absolutely 100% of all accidents are preventable by the driver (despite, as you so well pointed out, that these lumbering behemoths neither dodge well nor stop on a dime) and so that poor driver most likely faced being written up and severely reprimanded, and his safe driving record (which allows him to get pretty bonuses) reduced to 0 days. If some a$$hole who thought he could beat a bus caused me to be blacklisted at my job, and lose an end-of-year bonus I'd worked my keister off for, I'd be pissed, too.

Aren't all the public transit employees union? I can't believe for a moment the union would allow that BS to go on.
