*Yup, Mountain Dew in Canada is caffeine free. It also doesn't sell nearly as well compared to other brands in Canada as in the U.S. That is probably not a coincidence.
On the other hand, they get real Coke, with sugar, instead of the syrupy blechery available in the states thanks to sugar tariffs.

I hear tell of people who take US Dew north on pre-planned trips (mostly conventions), and trade for Canadian Coke. Unfortunately, being here in Bumfuckistan, Dixie, I only hear of this via teh intarwebs, as no one I know locally regularly even crosses the Mason-Dixon line, let alone the 49th (or whatever, not sure offhand) parallel.

No we don't. At least, not to my knowledge. It's still HFCS.

ETA: I'll be damned! WE DO! A friend left his empty can over, and I checked the ingredients list. Sugar/somethingelsesugar was second, right after water.

Pepsi released a soda maybe two months ago called Pepsi Throwback, made with real sugar. Not bad, although the "Pepsi" taste seems a bit lacking (then again, that could be because it's been so long since I've had soda without HFCS). Unfortunately the only place I can find it is an indie grocery store in RI.

They carry that at work. Not knowing when they changed over to HFCS, though, I can't say that prior to that I'd ever had sugared Pepsi.

Mexican food stores supposedly have sugared Coke, but I've not looked into it, partly because I'd feel out of place in them, being terminally northern European as I am.

We were selling it at my store for awhile but I think it's been discontinued in this area.

Limited editions are like that though . . .

And now I'm missing the Diet Dr. Pepper Cherry Chocolate.

I was once asked if we sold pets at the store I worked at, and the only thing I could say was that we just sold food and some supplies, but that there was a pet store down the street.

But it's a damn good ride at that.

I would say someone grabbed a shovel and started digging . . . but then sheldonrs had to go play with the dynamite and blow a big crater-sized hole in it . . .

Perhaps we can discuss this deeper over in the Pervfest thread . . .

Most European countries I've been to have -everything- in English as well as their primary language. I have never been so grateful for any other convenience.

I'll never, ever complain about Spanish in the U.S. again (yeah, I'm guilty of it). I'll even learn it now.
