    Well, like I said, I would never respond rudely, even though inside I am banging my head against the nearest shelf. I always answer kindly.

    But being ignored till I asked for help actually sounds pretty nice to me.

      I mean, it's not your fault, and I get that. But one can hardly blame them, either.
      Gamestore had -- and probably still has -- a policy which requires that people be greeted within 5 seconds of walking in and asked for Trades. Similar thing when answering the phone. They enforce it quite simply: If a Secret Shopper comes in (more often than you'd think) and this does not happen, that's 10% off of the store's score, resulting in an automatic FAILURE on the audit for not being over 90% in compliance with policy.
