New way to "pay"

I was talking to my MOD about a few Issues when I see a SC approach the register out of the corer of my eye. I turn towards the register to help the SC but they are walking away holding a coffee and a few other items. On the counter is one of the cards we have for the by X coffees get the next free and some money a few ones and some change. The card was not full for the discount and the money was a odd amount.

I turn and tell MOD.

MOD: Ma'am come over here please. *has me call LP*
SC: *already heading in the direction of the door*But why? Ok, i guess.
MOD: Did you just leave this money and card here?
SC: Yes. You looked busy and I didn't want to bother you so I just left you my money and you could ring it up when you have a chance.
MOD: We will be glad to help if you just tell us. It is no bid deal.

They talk for a minute when LP calls back. The SC is holding some merch behind her back that she trued to stuff in her back pocket. MOD walks over to me and I tell them.

MOD: Do you want to pay for for what you have in you back pocket?
SC: How dare you accuse me of stealing?
MOD: If you walk out with out paying you are.
LP: *who just arrived* Ma'am I saw you put a Jello (YES, they were trying to steal a Jello package that cost $1.) in your back pocket on camera.
SC: Fine. Her's you stupid Jello. I'm leaving.

LP escorts the SC from the building.

The SC left a partially stamped coffee card and about $4 in ones and some change behind. After all the items were scanned the total came to $7.

That's funny and sad at the same time. Like the amount of what you're stealing makes it any less of a crime. Just sad.

It is saddest when you get grown people acting like this. Just last night I couldn't figure out how to tell a GROWN MAN not to open up our pogo sticks and hop around the store. seriously sir? you are way too old and WAY too heavy to be doing that.

I've seen security calls for a chicken wing and a chocolate bar. (not the same time) Seriously...if you are going to steal something, at least make it worthwhile...steal one of our men's magazines or something!!!
