Hey. I am at work right now and it's going slow so I figured I would put up a post. A lady just called asked how much a room for tomorrow night would be. I told her $155. So she said "Really I saw online that your rooms are $59 a night. I don't know if she thought with her saying that I would be like Oh okay let me honor your imaginary price. Luckily when I told her we had no such rate she backed down immediately and started complaining about hotel prices in the area. Sorry if our price is to high for your booty call.

Typically, when they do that to me, they think they're being sly. Real James Bond-like.

Basically, they call me up and ask what the rate is, and after you tell them that's when they spring the internet rate on you. Obviously, they had hoped you'd give them something lower than what they already found. Slyyyyyy...

They also do this with coupons, and I really hate it too. They'll have the coupon book behind their back, or stuffed down their pants and covered with their shirt, and they'll oh so casually ask what the rate might be tonight, in hopes that you'll conform to whatever fantasy land standards by which they've structured their lives and give an even lower price than a coupon, which already cuts the rate by at least a good ten bucks.

I always wonder what they'd do if I actually could give a lower price than a coupon or an internet rate. It'd be kind of funny watching them try to ditch a coupon book without anyone noticing, unless they plan to shuffle backward back out the door to their car to hide it again.
Drive it like it's a county car.

The only thing is they aren't James Bond, they are more or less Daffy Duck. I've had customers try to use passes for other events and try and drive off. Not going to fly with me. One box office worker actually comitted a scam this year for a basketball game. Said idiot purposely printed the wrong name for some reserved spots and sold them. That was a horrible night IIRC.
