We attempt to curtail the -ness by putting up signs saying more or less "<Wholesale club> is not responsible for damage done to cars by loose carts" even if the signs aren't worth the material they're printed on.

At the store in question, we did, and they weren't.

Wow, I wish Red Vest Land had different guys for carts and loading! As it is, all of our loaders also double as cart grabbers and triple for going and pulling orders. When we have only 2 on the clock, and they're both busy getting an order... We have customers wait... And wait... And wait... And wait some more... Just to get their stuff loaded. It's a pain. And they have to get the carts on top of that...
