Sob Story Fail

[Mr Hero]

2 SC's come up to the desk. I can't remember who said what so this story will be retold with just one SC in the conversation.

SC: Do you have any rooms? We're hoping you have better service than Motel 6.
Me: I'm not sure that would be difficult, but I was curious what they did.Oh? How was their service bad?
SC: They kicked us out of two rooms for no reason.
Me: All sympathy is gone at this point. If Motel 6 doesn't want them, then I doubt we do either. We have rooms for $89.99 per night.
SC: That's too much. Can you bring it down to $50?
Me: I'm afraid I can't.
SC: Come on! We just need a place to stay.
Me: Then you shouldn't have done whatever it is that got you kicked out of Motel 6. I'm sorry I can't go that low.
SC: Come on! Just help us out. Why don't you give me the key?
Me: I'm not seeing anything in this for me. I'm sorry, but I prefer to keep my job.
SC: It's cool we respect that.

They leave.

I've been reading too many of VRS's stories. I expected some swearing at this point. I'm guessing they're inconsiderate, and cheap, but not stupid. And I am also intensely curious as to why they were kicked out the other place.

I should have called Motel 6 to find out why but I didn't.

I'm willing to give them at least partial credit for that alone

I was surprised they didn't get incredibly sucky over that like VRS' customers. At least they were cool and left.
