Thanks, Dips. I was confused too. I just don't understand the whole picture, I guess. I don't understand why all Dave's customers fly off the handle after the first words out of his mouth, and it's just as confusing in this case.

It's not all of his customers. He's said that most of the people that talk to him are just fine, but since they're not SCs, they're not post-worthy.

It's just that the ones that are problems seem to be especially entitlement-midned.

But that's their job, and usually why they get the big bucks.

Actually, the dude on the phone is supposed to screen the calls for the people who make the big bucks. I used to have that job. Thankfully, our customers don't get as douchy as Dave's.

This woman didn't even explain why the office not being open was such a huge issue. Maybe if she had come up with a complaint other than "OMG, you're office is closed! WTFBBQ!!!11!!" something could have been done. But when all she's doing is having a shit-fit because she had to get her keys from the lockbox and not have them handed to her personally, she doesn't deserve to reach a manager.

And you've mentioned before that they don't believe how crazy your customers are. Why not educate them by letting them hear for themselves?

They don't act insane for the manager. They go all sugar and spice and make it seem like Dave is the lunatic, not them. I've watched it happen, personally, and Dave mentioned one of them doing just that to him.

While part of me thinks people should have been told, I agree that would be a little silly. Most people probably don't care to be bothered with random policy updates, and it would probably take a lot of time to contact every renter.
