Liquid bread, that's smart, you get both food and drink in one package .
mhmm... I also have ingredients lying around to make more. Have enough beer lying around so that by the time I've drank 5 gallons, the next 5 gallons is ready to drink
Actually, around here, last Friday we had a freak mini-snow storm.
It was never, ever forecasted to snow that day. And I'm from Wisconsin and this particular part of Wisconsin has some really masochistic meteorologists who just smirk and sneer and smile and get all horny over the thought of snow, so if there's ever ANY possibility, they are right on the news, big old smile on their face "Tehehehehe snow's a comin!"
Anyway, off my soapbox, back on track....
It was NOT forecasted to snow last Friday. It was just a gloomy, miserable rainy, chilly day like every other freaking day this October has been......and I laid down for my Friday nap around 1 pm and it was raining. I woke up at about 5 or 6 when my bf called, and there was almost 2 inches of snow on the ground!
I turned on the news and the weather guy was "Tehehehe no one saw this coming! Gee, this came out of nowhere! Yup, hyuck hyuck it's snowing and isn't going to stop until early tomorrow morning! Hehehe, what a surprise!"
Then fast forward to footage of all kinds of accidents last Friday....which was pathetic because it was a slush type of snowstorm and it was close to the freezing point but it's not like your typical Wisconsin snow storm, usually involving several inches of snow and 0 degrees. People were just being idiots....but I digress..
Usually, the weather can be almost perfectly predicted and ample warning can be given, and then people are just idiots who don't plan ahead and panic at the last second, but there's also the freak storms that squeak by even the weatherfolk.
And just for the record, it's SO hard to avoid the urge to throw the remote at the TV or go to the station and punch the weather people because they just HAVE to smile and snerk and laugh when they talk about snow.....
Bottling a red ale on sunday then brewing a English Extra Special Rye on monday
Yum! I just have to remember to get a pound of honey next time I go to the store, because my local supplier (friend of a friend deal) hasn't responded. Oh well.
Any day you're looking down at the dirt instead of up at the dirt is a good day.
