It was a freaking quarter!
This guy came in, and wanted some smokes. Since the end part came up a quarter, he pulled one out with a ten. He stared at the quarter. He asked me if it was real since it looked funny. I looked at it, and it was just a state quarter, from like 2004. I preceded to tell him that, though it might have been sarcastic in tone. (My exact words, "You never seen a state quarter?").
Boy did he freak out on me.
"I KNOW ITS A STATE QUARTER!! ARE YOU TELLLING ME I NEED GLASSES!!!?"
Me: *blink blink* Uhhh.. no. Sorry.
HIM: *storms out with his smokes*.
Want me and my boys to beat him?
I had one regular come in and go, buying single beers and asking for quarters to use the payphone. Nice guy. No problems with him at all. He using the payphone off and on for like two hours, but he just lives around the corner.
Another regular came in, slightly drunk, and asking me if I want him and his buddies to beat the *racist remark* cause he's OBVIOUSLY casing the joint to rob me. I told him no, the guy is cool, no problems with him. He kept asking me. Saying he buddies were only a few minutes and they could beat the hell out of him. I kept having to tell him no, and he finally got it.
What the heck? I guess I appreceate the want to protect me and the store, (Especally since I'm a dick) but once I say no, should that be enough?
