  • Nice try

    Just got a phone call.

SC: "Hi, can I speak to C?"
Me: "She's not here at the moment, can I transfer you to our Copy department?"
SC: "Can you give me her schedule?"
Me: "Unfortunately, I am not allowed to give that information out."
    SC: "But I'm a *CUSTOMER!*"
Me: "I still can't give that information out."
SC: "But she's the only one who makes my postcards right!"
Me: "I'm sorry, I still cannot give out any schedules, especially over the phone."
    SC: *splutters and hangs up.*

I take it the SC has never heard of a little thing called privacy....

Most companies I know won't give out schedules to the general public.

It was the "But I'm a customer!" line that made me roll my eyes.

And I'm an employee. I don't give schedules out to *anyone* except the person themselves.

Shit...the place i work for wont even give out phone numbers of employees to other employees calling in and looking for their numbers. Good luck trying to get a schedule for someone and we have no idea who u are.

My ideal response: "Oh, you're a CUSTOMER! That changes EVERYTHING! You're calling to BUY my co-worker's schedule, then. Got it. Will you be using a credit or debit card for this transaction?"

Just to mess with the caller's mind.

Major issue with this particular coworker... she's a minor. Otherwise, I might be tempted to say that, too.
