Wow I was writing a whole thing on customers breaking stuff and managed to delete the whole tab. I'm not writing it again.
Main point- Breaking something does not mean you have to buy it. But PLEASE tell me so I can clean it up, especially when it's GLASS. People hide broken stuff like they're guilty little kids, instead of finding someone and fessing up, so it can get cleaned.
Secondly, it seems to me that NO ONE knows the phrase "excuse me."
Whether it's to get by someone, or when almost running into someone. The phrase has apparently evolved into annoyed silence.
Now, I don't really mind people all that much, but I hate when they get into my personal space, especially without so much as a word to me. (Sidetrack, but still kinda pertains to what I'm talking about: I was at a school football game waiting in line for food, and I ended up in between two people and they kept leaving me with less and less room, and I was starting to get dizzy and had some breathing issues because I was so freaked out by having people close to me. It's not all people, and it doesn't happen all the time, but it usually gives me some kind of anxiety)
Anyway, so normally I straighten the shelves. I can't STAND when someone comes up and either stands behind me or reaches around me without saying a word. I end up just stopping what I'm doing and pretty much run to another aisle without saying a word to the person.
And then on the other hand, when I'm running through the store I tend to go a little faster than the snail pace every customer uses. Sometimes this results in almost running into people coming out of aisles. Not a big deal. I say "excuse me" and look at the for a second and wait for SOME kind of response or acknowledgment, but all I get is a confused or blank stare.
Other times it'll be someone who almost runs into me. I sidestep, and look at them. BLANK STARE. No "excuse me" or "sorry" or anything. Just a STARE.
It really bothers me
